Day by day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Arusha, heading to Tarangire National Park, approximately a two-hour drive. Tarangire is known for its massive elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, as well as its seasonal swamps and the Tarangire River, which draws large numbers of wildlife during the dry season.
Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, where you’ll likely encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various antelope species. Keep an eye out for predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs that may be hunting in the open savannah.
In the evening, you’ll arrive at your comfortable mid-range lodge just outside the park, where you can relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and prepare for another exciting day.
Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro

- Accommodation: Mid-range lodge on Ngorongoro Crater rim
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on Earth. The drive to Ngorongoro takes approximately two hours, with beautiful views of the Tanzanian highlands along the way.
Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The crater’s unique ecosystem, combined with its relatively small area, offers an unparalleled opportunity to see a wide variety of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the endangered black rhino.
You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the designated sites inside the crater, surrounded by stunning landscapes and the sounds of wildlife. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater walls and head to your lodge, located on the rim of the crater, where you can relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
Day 3: Ngorongoro – Arusha
- Activities: Morning leisure, return to Arusha

- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
After breakfast, take some time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before beginning your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule or preferences, you may visit local markets or cultural attractions along the way. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your incredible 3-day safari adventure.
