Day by day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

  • Activities: Airport pick-up, transfer to hotel
  • Accommodation: Mid-range hotel in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Spend the evening relaxing, freshening up, and enjoying a welcome dinner at the hotel. This is a great time to discuss your upcoming safari itinerary with your guide.


Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

  • Activities: Full-day game drive in Tarangire
  • Accommodation: Mid-range lodge near Tarangire
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, approximately a two-hour drive from Arusha. Known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers a unique landscape that attracts various wildlife.

Enjoy a full-day game drive, where you will have the opportunity to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species. Keep an eye out for predators such as lions and leopards.

A picnic lunch will be served in the park, allowing you to take in the stunning scenery. After a day of adventure, check in at your mid-range lodge near Tarangire for dinner and overnight accommodation.


Day 3: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

  • Activities: Morning game drive in Tarangire, transfer to Ngorongoro
  • Accommodation: Mid-range lodge on Ngorongoro Crater rim
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge before heading out for a final morning game drive in Tarangire. Take in the beauty of the park one last time and spot any wildlife you may have missed.

Afterward, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive will take around two hours, with scenic views along the way.

Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for an afternoon of game viewing. The crater is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the critically endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your exploration. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater walls and head to your lodge on the crater rim for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 4: Ngorongoro – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, with a drive that takes approximately four hours. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the landscape as you journey into one of the most famous wildlife parks in the world.

Upon arrival, enjoy a picnic lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is renowned for its diverse wildlife, including large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

After an exciting day of game viewing, check into your mid-range lodge in the Serengeti, where you can unwind and enjoy dinner while listening to the sounds of the African night.


Day 5: Serengeti National Park

  • Activities: Full-day game drive in Serengeti
  • Accommodation: Mid-range lodge in Serengeti
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today, enjoy a full day of exploration in the Serengeti. With the vast expanse of the park at your fingertips, your guide will take you to the best spots for wildlife viewing, depending on the season and migration patterns.

You’ll have the chance to witness the Great Migration if you visit during the migration months, as thousands of wildebeest and zebras traverse the plains. Look out for predators in action and keep your camera ready for incredible photo opportunities.

A picnic lunch will be served in the park, allowing you to maximize your time spent exploring. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.


Day 6: Serengeti – Arusha

  • Activities: Morning game drive in Serengeti, transfer back to Arusha
  • Accommodation: None (End of Tour)
  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

On your final day, rise early for a last morning game drive in the Serengeti. This early start gives you the chance to see the wildlife waking up and may provide a final glimpse of predators before you head back.

After breakfast at your lodge, check out and begin your journey back to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you may have the option to stop for lunch along the way or visit a local market for souvenirs.

Arrive in Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight, concluding your unforgettable 6-day safari experience.
